Beauty With Purpose Takes Centre Stage at Dublin Multicultural Event

A multicultural beauty pageant in Dublin recently brought together contestants, community representatives and cultural performers for an event focused on both personal achievement and social responsibility. Approximately 450 people attended the Dublin programme, where 24 contestants representing seven nations presented their cultures, talents and personal messages. Broccoli Care Ltd. sponsored the programme, which was organised by Miss & Mrs Cross Continent Events Ltd. together Ireland with The Truth About Drugs Ireland. Before taking part in the stage programme, contestants and visitors toured a Truth About Drugs exhibition and learned about the effects of commonly abused substances. Some participants completed all fourteen educational modules, demonstrating that their preparation went beyond the traditional pageant format. Mayor of South Dublin Cllr. Francis Timmons addressed the audience and highlighted the value of cultural diversity, education and prevention. The pageant was accompanied by a diverse cultural programme featuring dancers from several community organisations. The principal title was awarded to Niveditha Vudayagiri, a software engineer who holds a master’s degree in AI. Fortunate Lindokuhle Masina was named first runner-up, while Yuki Yuliatin became second runner-up. The event demonstrated how multicultural celebrations can also provide a platform for education, responsibility and positive community engagement.
